Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019

2018 was a fabulous year for Beatrice, Dec and I.

Bea grew from a baby to the funniest, sassiest, sweetest little girl with the most amazing personality. We had so many “firsts” like Bea learning to crawl and then later on walking, her first birthday and her first holiday, we weaned Bea in 2018 which is going to need a whole other blog post! We had so many lovely family days out including our weekly swimming lessons which Beatrice loved so much, we also took her to her first football match – Pompey of course, Dec would have preferred it to be Manchester United. Beatrice was a flower girl for my best friend and we welcomed our beautiful niece Halle into the world. 2018 was also the year we found out we were expecting our baby boy which is so exciting.

We had a very busy year and managed to fit in so much, we started the year with a baby and we finished it with a toddler who walks, talks and has the sass of a Queen! 2018 hasn’t been all good though, we have had our fair share of down points too. We moved out of my parents house into what we thought was going to be our home for a while however it wasn’t meant to be and we moved out after 6 months of being there. The beginning of the year I was really struggling with my PTSD, I referred myself for counselling and received CBT which helped a lot – I still have down days but they are getting better. The first few months of my pregnancy were really hard with morning sickness , I was really lucky I didn’t suffer from HG again like I did with Beatrice however I have had all day sickness and no appetite which has been hard.

We are going into 2019 in a flat that we love, albeit needing a lot of decorating still doing, with a beautiful toddler and a baby boy on the way. I am not one to have new years resolutions as I tend to give them up come the 2nd week of January however I do have a bucket list for the new year.
